471½. Lamar White, Jr.

471½. Lamar White, Jr., visits with us again for our anniversary episode. It's our 10th Anniversary for the Louisiana Anthology website and the 9th for the Louisiana Anthology Podcast. Lamar turned 40 this year, and he filled us in on his progress on two books. He is working on a biography of Carlos Marcello, reputed Mafia boss in New Orleans. He is also working on a new Huey Long book. It started as an investigation into the actual evidence surrounding his death, but it keeps expanding. Huey Long's life and politics have rarely been examined from a progressive perspective, and Lamar wants to make up some of that deficiency.
