Coca Cola heiress and racial pioneer Rosa Freeman Keller

fortunate than herself, particularly New Orleans’s African
American residents. Though her elite social background made
her perhaps an unlikely social activist, Keller helped lead
the fight for the integration of public schools and
transportation facilities in New Orleans.
